There are key areas of the house that need to be fixed in order for us to move into the house. Ok, ‘fix’ may be an understatement… we actually need to build-out a bathroom and kitchen as the previous owners were in the middle of a renovation. We have a general idea of what the kitchen will look like… priorities will show that the fridge was most important! officially the first item purchased: used sub-zero for $100 bucks.
the bathroom elements are critical as key items are crucial for moving along the build-out process: rough plumbing for the shower, lav and toilet. countless hours sifting thru magazines, design and architecture sites… pinging family and friends, we arrived at a direction we’re happy with.
because there’s only one bathroom in the house, we decided to buff out the fixtures and look for low-cost (relatively) tile. the glass tile is from oceanside glasstile. field elevation in Non-Iridescent Midori (#133). special thanks to amy and dawn at persimmon for that find! the traditional terrazzo in fresh lime is from daltile.
