Not much activity this weekend.. Paint and cleaning.. Doors to be installed this week along with the remaining kitchen trim and details. Floors will be finished in 2 weeks..

I took down the plastic from the facade to get a sense of what’s happening.

Patch, repair and install was completed today. The team will be back in 2 weeks once the floors adjust to the air.

Woodworth started repair and patch of the existing floors. We managed to salvage wood from the odd shape remaining in the kitchen to patch the hallway, bedrooms and receptacles. We ordered an additional 150 sq. ft of 2″x1/2″ white oak to finish the kitchen.

We headed down to Glashaus (matt + gregs studio) to check out the show that morgan was throwing for Phil. A wide variety of talented local artists were selling jewelry, clothing, accessories, photography, sculpture, ceramics, blown glass, and much more with proceeds of their sales going straight to the Museum School. Great job!!

Matt turned me onto Ehmcke for sheet metal work that’s needed to wrap the 4×4 post at the front door. Ehmcke is no joke. These guys bust out serious sheet metal for major applications. It took them all of 5 minutes to crank out my anodized aluminum channel. This is an early photo of the convention center. Looks like the Marriot marine room. It’s cool to see the marina empty.

The day of the final window installation, the stucco repair work started. They make fast work of the house. Metal lath and the first coat of concrete mixture is applied. The team will come back in a 2 weeks to texture the stucco as per the rest of the house.

Looking to lower the sewer line. Larry hooked up the dig while at work. For peace of mind, I’m glad I missed that part of the day…

12 hours after matt helped me install the aluminum trim, Patrick installed the front door slider. It’s impressive from the exterior, however, we’re looking to the view from inside…

Matt picked me up after work to head down to competitive metals in el cajon. It’s a cool place. Full of a ton of metal. The shop sheared a piece of 10′ x 3/8″ aluminum like a knife thru hot butter.
